Tesla Model Y compared to RISING R7, are more than 300,000 yuan, how should new drivers choose?

R7's exterior and interior design are better than Tesla Model Y's

In the past, I basically took the company's commuter car to and from work, and we only have a car for my daughter-in-law to use, and usually go out basically my daughter-in-law drive. Last year after jumping ship, although the income increased a lot, but no commuter car, the old taxi is not a solution. Some time ago, and daughter-in-law a discussion, I am also ready to buy a car, but these years I basically did not drive a car, this time also looking to buy a safety features and auxiliary driving features richer car. This time, I bought a car, my budget between 300,000 yuan and 400,000 yuan, the best is pure electric car, friends around me recommended a lot of models, and finally my goal locked in between the Tesla Model Y and RISING R7, the following and talk to you about my journey to choose a car.

From the price point of view, the guide price range of Tesla Model Y is 261,900-361,900 yuan, and the RISING R7 is 279,900-389,900 yuan. According to my understanding, both cars basically have little discount, but both cars are still within my budget. However, the RISING R7 is a car with the option of "RISING Car Electric Separation Service RBS", which is more cost effective, but you need to pay for the battery rental afterwards. Of course, for me, I definitely choose to buy out the battery directly.

After analysis, I was mainly torn between the two top models, namely the Tesla Model Y 2022 Performance All-Wheel Drive Edition and the RISING R7 2023 Signature Edition. The reason why I am looking at the top model is because of the high configuration of the top model, on the other hand, like my daughter-in-law said, buy all, such as a step in place. Here I will take the above two models as an example, and talk to you about my views on the two cars.

R7's exterior and interior design are better than Tesla Model Y's

The appearance part, everyone must have everyone's aesthetics, we can not unify views, I will simply talk about my personal views. The design of both Tesla Model Y and RISING R7 are very stylish and atmospheric, the shape of both cars are very different from the general SUVs, visually they still look quite chic. The design of the Tesla Model Y is a bit more simple, although there is no bold design, but the overall proportion is still very coordinated, especially the rear of the car looks very heavy, very solid; RISING R7's design is a bit more personalized, the rear of the car is more angular, and the size of the car is larger, it will also look more dominant. Another point is that the RISING R7 has frameless doors like the Tesla Model Y, but the RISING R7 is also equipped with front electric doors, which as a member of the technology industry, I think is a pretty cool feature.

For the interior part, I think there are still big differences between the Tesla Model Y and the RISING R7, and I'll talk about my personal feelings as well. The design of Tesla Model Y is very simple, the straightforward center console looks very simple, the large size of the center screen also looks quite technological, but Tesla Model Y is not equipped with a dashboard, speed, range and other information are integrated into the center screen, which I actually do not like; RISING R7 internal use of three large screen, technology is stronger, and the information display will be more intuitive, the car also supports The car also supports three-screen interaction, dual-zone independent theater function, such as charging outside or waiting for someone, the main and passenger can watch their own movies, which I personally still quite like. The interior lines of the RISING R7 are richer and I think it looks more advanced. Anyway, I personally like the design of the RISING R7 better in terms of the interior.

Model Y's smart cockpit is not as feature-rich as the RISING R7

Then it's time to talk about the smart driving features that I personally value, which is one of the reasons why I targeted the Tesla Model Y and the RISING R7. However, as far as I know, the Tesla Model Y has only 21 sensing sensors, but the RISING R7 has 29, and the RISING R7 is also equipped with LIDAR. Also, the system computing power of RISING R7 (508TOPS) is stronger than Tesla Model Y (144TOPS). In terms of specific features, both the Tesla Model Y and the RISING R7 can achieve L2 intelligent driving assistance, but the RISING R7 can also achieve high-speed pilot assistance, including automatic lane change assistance and automatic ramp entry and exit, while the Tesla Model Y needs to spend more money on options if it wants to achieve these features. I think the RISING R7 is more practical and more convenient for a newbie like me.

Then I would like to say one more thing about the intelligent cockpit of Tesla Model Y and RISING R7, which is the part that impressed me a lot. First of all, both Tesla Model Y and RISING R7 are equipped with Telematics system and OTA upgrade function, and both cars can realize voice interaction and cell phone APP control, which is really friendly for a novice like me, for example, if you want to set the navigation during driving, you can directly use voice control, instead of manually inputting in the center console. At the same time, RISING R7 is equipped with three screens, the passenger can also watch movies and listen to music when sitting in the car, and RISING R7 also has an additional HUD head-up display function, observing the speed and navigation information will be more intuitive, which I think is still quite convenient. The interior of the Tesla Model Y looks clean and crisp, but the functionality is really quite general.

As a mid-size pure electric SUV, the RISING R7 has more space

I'd like to briefly talk about the space, after all, this time to buy a car, in addition to my daily commute to work, or will use the writer with, daughter-in-law, children sitting in the back of the feeling is also very important. The size of the Tesla Model Y and the RISING R7 from the Internet, the RISING R7 as a whole is a circle larger than the Tesla Model Y. This car is basically a medium to large pure electric SUV that is rare in the same price range, after all, the RISING R7 entry version "car and electricity separation price" is only 195,900. After the actual experience, I also feel that the rear space of the RISING R7 is more spacious than that of the Tesla Model Y. Moreover, the front row of the top-of-the-line RISING R7 we are looking at also has heating, ventilation and massage functions, while the Tesla Model Y only has heating functions.

However, the rear seats of the Tesla Model Y are also heated, which is a way to make up for it, but the RISING R7 has more space after all, and I think it's more comfortable to sit in.

As for the trunk, from my visual inspection, I think the difference between the Tesla Model Y and the RISING R7 is not much, except that the Tesla Model Y has an extra front trunk, so the actual cargo space may be slightly better.

Tesla Model Y's power is comparable to R7, but not as convenient as R7

Finally, I'd like to briefly talk about the power and range of the two cars, which is not really important to me, so I'll just talk about it briefly. The Tesla Model Y and the RISING R7 are both equipped with dual front and rear motors. The Tesla Model Y breaks 100 in 3.7 seconds, while the RISING R7 breaks 100 in 3.8 seconds, which is basically not much of a difference. However, the RISING R7 supports power exchange, which is a more convenient way to replenish the energy of this car.

To summarize, overall, both the Tesla Model Y and the RISING R7 are very strong products, and the only difference between the two cars is in the details. For example, the Tesla Model Y is richer in rear features, while the RISING R7 has a more realistic intelligent driving system, more entertainment in the car, and a more convenient way to replenish energy. In summary, I personally would probably prefer the RISING R7, after all, this car may be more suitable for newbies.
