The safety benchmark of MPV! Dreamer passes the Super American Standard test, the third row becomes a surprise

To measure the safety of a car, in addition to the relevant configuration, the most effective and direct way is to conduct a crash test, which is currently one of the most commonly used testing methods around the world, and therefore the birth of some well-known institutions, foreign familiar with the European E-NCAP, the United States IIHS, the domestic also have in the insurance research, C-NCAP and so on. These test institutions are simulated daily driving in the way of commonly encountered collisions, including frontal collisions, side collisions, 25% small angle collisions and other projects, through the vehicle in the collision damage response to its safety.

But one of the collision test is very few models dare to try, this test is the rear-end collision test, because this test is not only demanding, and can meet the standards of the model is also relatively small, so many collision agencies have not carried out this test. However, there is a car company does not take the usual path, on the most difficult to pick. That is the domestic luxury brand Voyah Motors, which held a rear-end test in Changsha not long ago, and the participating vehicle was its electric luxury flagship MPV - Voyah Dream Home.

As we all know, MPV models have been relatively few merit in the various testing agencies, just like the 2018 version of the C-NCAP specification test of four MPVs, only one model is a 5-star rating. Coupled with the fact that MPVs often have a square, short and thick structure at the rear and the third-row occupants are very close to the rear of the vehicle, it is easy to cause significant damage in rear-end accidents. However, the Voyah Dreamer gave us a good answer in such a test.

According to the US motor vehicle safety regulation FMVSS301, the speed of the bullet car should be 80km/h and the mass of the bullet car should be 1368kg when conducting the rear-end crash test, however, the speed of the bullet car exceeded 100km/h, reaching 125% of the US standard, and the mass of the bullet car was 16kg. However, in the crash test, the speed of the bullet car exceeded 100km/h, which was 125% of the AFSL, and the mass of the bullet car was 1650kg, which was 121% of the AFSL, making the kinetic energy generated in the crash exceeded 1.88 times of the AFSL.

However, the final result is that Voyah Dreamer has achieved all evaluation standards, firstly, there is no abnormal phenomenon such as fire, smoke and explosion in the three electrical safety. Secondly, there was no deformation of the seat skeleton in the car, and the seat belt pretensioning function could be activated normally, which effectively protected the safety of the occupants in the car. Then the occupant compartment was intact with no serious deformation, the dummy structure was intact with no obvious injuries, the interior functions still worked normally, and the doors could be unlocked automatically and opened smoothly, without the previous phenomenon of the Lexus LM doors not being able to be unlocked. Moreover, ABS/ESP and other auxiliary functions could intervene in time, so that Voyah Dreamer got a perfect score and received the "TOP Safety 2022 Top Safety Crash Challenge Certificate".

It is understood that Voyah Dreamer dares to participate in the "extra" rear-end crash test mainly because the whole car can really stand up to the crash. It is developed based on the super 5-star safety development standard, in addition to optimizing the body structure, the whole car has 70% of high-strength steel, 23.6% of hot-formed steel, and the use of new composite materials, as well as 2000MPa aluminum-silicon coated door crash beam.

In the third row, which is the weakest part of the MPV, Voyah Dreamer has made great efforts. Five major safety protection designs are adopted to ensure the safety of the occupants, from outside to inside: high-strength crash beam, energy-absorbing box, laser welded thermoformed rear longitudinal beam, full aluminum alloy rear subframe, and super strong seat skeleton and cross beam design.

It is worth mentioning that the Voyah Dreamer is also a new energy vehicle, and there was no fire or explosion in this rear-end collision test, also thanks to its excellent battery protection system. The high-strength three-dimensional frame structure and 1500MPa high-strength steel bottom armor can effectively avoid battery crush and collision, and the high-voltage system can quickly cut off the power within 18ms if a collision occurs, so as to avoid explosion and fire.

All in all, the fact that Voyah Dreamer got a perfect pass in the rear-end collision test proves that its safety strength is very outstanding. It can bring all-round protection to users, which shows the hard-core strength of our domestic electric luxury flagship MPV, and also sets a higher safety standard for the later.
