2023 Buick ENVISION launched, compared to the Song PLUS DM-i, who do you think more?

In the domestic auto market, SUVs have always accounted for a high proportion of the market by virtue of their large space security and much brought family practicality. And new energy, the transformation of SUVs is also very fast. A few days ago, the SAIC-GM Buick brand officially listed and released the 2023 model Onkowi, with an official guide price range of 209,900-295,900 yuan. Today, I chose the 2023 Buick ENVISION S 552T 2WD Elite (guide price 209,900 yuan) and the 2021 DM-i 51KM 2WD Premium BYD Song Plus DM-i (guide price 154,800 yuan) to do a little comparative analysis. Because there is a price gap between the two vehicles, after all, the ENVISION is positioned as a mid-sized SUV and the BYD Song Plus DM-i is positioned as a compact SUV, so the two we chose are both entry-level versions.

Appearance comparison:

In terms of appearance, the two vehicles have some similarity, both belonging to the fashionable and atmospheric style. The shape of the lower envelope is nearly identical, but the ENVISION uses chrome trim for some decoration and has an advantage in terms of refinement. However, the front of the Song Plus DM-i uses a large hexagonal grille to emphasize the atmosphere of the front face, while the irregular grille of the ENVISION has no sense of atmosphere. In terms of headlights, both cars are designed with a narrow design.

The difference is that the Song Plus DM-i is decorated with a chrome strip between the headlights, but the ENVISION perfectly integrates the chrome strip with the headlight cluster. The bulge on the hood gives the ENVISION a sense of power, which makes the Song Plus DM-i more stylish and the ENVISION more stable. On the side, due to the size difference between the two cars, the ENVISION is more slender; however, the waistline of the Song Plus DM-i is more pronounced and has a touch more sportiness; at the same time, both cars use a certain concave to highlight the three-dimensionality of the side.

The rear of both cars echoes the front, with the tail lights and chrome trim resembling the front headlight cluster. However, the ENVISION's bilateral double row looks more atmospheric. Overall, the two cars have some similarity in appearance, but the bigger difference is that the ENVISION highlights the atmosphere and stability, while the Song Plus DM-i is more stylish and sporty.

Interior configuration comparison:

The interior style of the two cars is relatively general, with the theme being mainly black. However, in terms of details, both cars use a lot of soft materials that feel good to the touch. The ENVISION is embellished with white silk thread at the stitching; the Song Plus DM-i is embellished with red silk thread, so you can see from the details that both cars are very strong. Specifically, the ENVISION uses a T-shaped layout, but the 10-inch inlaid center console looks a bit small. And the steering wheel is made of plastic and the seats are a mix of leather and weave. The configuration is not bad, roadside assistance, car networking, and OTA upgrades are all standard.

The Song Plus DM-i is equipped with a 12.8-inch suspended center console, which is relatively more atmospheric; however, it does not carry roadside assistance. Although the Song Plus DM-i is cheaper in price, it is no worse in terms of configuration, even with more front parking radar and 360-degree panoramic view. It even has more front parking radar and 360-degree panoramic view, and two more driving modes: ECO and off-road.

Power comparison:

The ENVISION uses a 48V light hybrid system with a 1.5T turbocharged engine, maximum torque of 270N-m and WLTC fuel consumption of 7.15L/100km. the Song Plus DM-i is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a 180hp electric motor. the battery is a lithium iron phosphate blade battery with a pure electric range of 51km.

If you like the stylish appearance and rich configuration, then you can consider the Song Plus DM-i. Although both are entry versions, they both have very good overall performance. So which car will you choose?
