A few days ago, BYD officially announced the production and sales data for March. In March, BYD sold 207,080 vehicles, an increase of 7.4% year-on-year, once again exceeding the 200,000 mark. Up to now, the total sales of BYD's new energy models have exceeded 3.9 million units.
Among them, passenger car sales were 206,089 units, up 97.5% year-on-year; sales of plug-in hybrid models were 103,419 units, and pure electric models sold 102,670 units in March, each occupying nearly half of the share.
For its brands, BYD Dynasty and Ocean.com sold a combined 195,691 units in March, up 87.6 percent year-on-year.
The DENZA brand sold 10,398 units in March, an increase of 42% YoY. Since the DENZA brand currently has only one model, the DENZA D9, on sale, this is the first time that the monthly sales of the DENZA D9 have exceeded 10,000 units.
In terms of passenger car exports, BYD exported a total of 1,331 passenger cars in March, which will undoubtedly become a new growth point in the future.
In the first three months of this year, BYD's cumulative sales reached 552,076 units, up 92.81% year-on-year; the total installed capacity of new energy vehicle power batteries and energy storage batteries in March was about 9.891GWh, and the total cumulative installed capacity in 2023 is about 26.991GWh.
It is worth mentioning that on March 30, BYD also held a conference in Mexico to officially launch the Han EV (Photo|Configuration|Inquiry), Tang EV and Yuan PLUS EV, and also announced that these three models are available for pre-sale locally.
The pre-sale price of Han EV is 1,369,000 pesos, Tang EV is 1,399,000 pesos, and Yuan PLUS is 799,000 pesos, which is about 521,900 yuan, 533,300 yuan and 304,600 yuan respectively.
On March 29, BYD's Han EV, Tang EV and ATTO 3 (corresponding to Yuan PLUS) went on sale in the Spanish market, which is one of the top five automotive markets in Europe and an important stop in BYD's passenger car internationalization strategy map.
At the same time, the official also recently announced that its Qin PLUS EV Champion Edition will be launched on April 7. The new car has been upgraded for the interior, and some of the technologies of the e platform 3.0 have been added, and the comprehensive strength has been significantly improved, which is expected to further stimulate to the sales of the Qin family.
