TIn the domestic new energy brand, AION has always given people a more pragmatic and pro-people feeling, its models are a good choice, whether to buy for home use or running drip, which is priced at 189,800-269,800 yuan 2023 AION V Plus has just been listed.

Today we got the 2023 EAN V Plus 80 7-seater version (223,800 yuan) to test its range performance in pure highway condition.

Our test method is "simple and brutal" - after the vehicle is fully charged at the highway service area, the driving mode is set to Sport, and then it runs against the 120km/h speed limit. During the test, the car was always occupied by two people, and the air conditioning and seat ventilation were turned on (comfortably) to run out of power as much as possible.

The car is equipped with an 80-degree Li-ion battery with a NEDC range of 600km. Finally, after 3 hours and 17 minutes of continuous testing, the power of the EAN V Plus suddenly disappeared when only 5% of the battery was left. Safety first on the highway, we ended this test and then entered the service area to recharge.

For the convenience of calculation, we took the data when 7% of power remained to calculate the final result, i.e., the EAN V Plus used 93% of power, actually drove 333km, and the apparent range dropped 558km (600-42), and the result obtained by dividing the two is 60%, i.e., the pure high-speed range was discounted by 60%. Our test method is basically the most power-hungry working conditions that electric vehicles face on a daily basis, and this time the EAN V Plus is a normal performance, neither a surprise nor an accident.

The test car was equipped with ADiGo intelligent driving assistance system, but not the highest-order version, no high precision map, just the ordinary L2 level driving assistance system, which was turned on throughout the test. The performance of the system is relatively smooth and comfortable when it is used for autonomous acceleration and deceleration, as well as when it is used to cope with other vehicles' congestion. In addition, the system is equipped with the "toggle lane change" function, which is also quite useful.

The EAN V Plus is equipped with a single motor with a power of 165kW, and the power of 7.6 seconds is conservative in electric vehicles, which is sufficient for daily use. As for the chassis, the damping of the EAN V Plus is a bit stiff if driving in the city, but it is just right at high speed, which can effectively suppress the roll when changing lanes, and the body is very stable in the cruising condition.

As for the sound insulation, the overall performance of the AION V Plus can only be described as mediocre. The Maersk UC6 tires do a good job of suppressing tire noise, but the wind noise at highway speeds is a bit too loud. As a 7-seat compact SUV, the rear row of the AION V Plus is relatively spacious, but the two seats in the third row are rather cramped for adults, but it's fine for emergencies.

Now that you have seen the last of it, tell us what you think of the AION V Plus. What score out of ten do you think it can get?
