A few days ago, the Mercedes-Benz EQE debuted in Hong Kong, this is the first time the new car appeared in the Chinese market, in Hong Kong will be sold as an imported car; mainland market, the new car has been determined to be produced by Beijing Benz and listed for sale this year, the actual car may debut during the Shanghai Auto Show.
The front of the new car adopts the family design style of the Mercedes-Benz EQ series, with a closed grille, equipped with high-gloss black trim inside, and a large Mercedes-Benz logo to bring excellent recognition; the two sides of the headlights are blackened and connected to the grille, with a strong sense of visual integration; the daytime running lights are designed through, effectively stretching the horizontal visual width of the front.
The lower part of the surround adopts a three-stage design, equipped with large deflectors on both sides, creating a fang shape inside, the style looks more vicious; the bottom is a flat trapezoidal air intake design, embellished with a sense of hierarchy of the front.
On the side, the roof line is relatively rounded, the same family design style of the Mercedes-Benz EQ series, the lines are smooth enough, but really less dominant sense; the door handles are pop-up design, can play a slight role in reducing wind resistance; the wheel brow part is equipped with thick black trim, side skirt part also added pedals, effectively increasing the sense of power.
In the rear, the roof is equipped with a small size spoiler, and the smoked taillights are designed with a through-lighting system, which effectively stretches the horizontal visual width of the rear of the car, and a dot matrix light source has been added inside the lamp cluster, which is very recognizable when lit. The lower part of the surround is equipped with thick black trim, embellished with a certain sense of power.
In terms of dimensions, the new car's length, width and height are 4863/1940/1686mm, with a wheelbase of 3030mm; compared to the EQE sedan, the length is 106mm less and the wheelbase is 90mm less.
Interior, the overall layout is the same family design style, providing a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, full LCD instrument panel, embedded center screen and passenger entertainment screen, the main sense of technology and luxury performance.
The car adopts a five-seat layout, the second row of legroom does not look amazing, belongs to the normal level; the good thing is that the floor is flat, will not have a significant impact on the comfort of the middle position passengers.
In terms of power, the new car will be offered in 350+, 350 4MATIC and 500 4MATIC power versions. 350+ version uses a single rear motor with a maximum power of 215kW and peak torque of 565N-m; 350 4MATIC uses dual front and rear motors, the maximum power is still 215kW and the peak torque is increased to 765N-m; 500 The 500 4MATIC has a combined maximum power of 300kW and a peak torque of 858N-m. The available capacity of the battery pack is 90.6kWh and the WLTP range is 590km, 558km and 547km in that order.
