Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE released with more aggressive style and minor power upgrades

A few days ago, Mercedes officially released its mid-cycle AMG GLE family official pictures, the new car in appearance basically follows the design style of the mid-cycle Mercedes GLE, and the old model compared to the adjustment is mainly focused on the lower part of the light cluster surround, while the power also ushered in a small upgrade.

 

From the official picture, the new car still provides AMG GLE and AMG GLE Coupe two versions to choose from, and at the same time subdivided into 53 and 63 S two power versions, these two power versions have certain differences in appearance.

 

Specifically, the front of the new car is still the family's straight grille design, with the Mercedes-Benz logo brings excellent recognition, has a strong sense of momentum; both sides of the headlight cluster shape and the mid-cycle Mercedes-Benz GLE remains the same, the internal integration of a little array of daytime running lights, the style is not as rough as the old model, but rather a lot more refined.

 

AMG GLE 53 version of the lower bracket shape and the ordinary version of the Mercedes-Benz GLE basically remain the same, more ferocious, with a strong sense of three-dimensional performance; while the AMG GLE 63 S version is basically the same as the old model of the lower bracket, the style seems more rugged, more domineering sense. The bottom of the car is designed with flat trapezoidal air intakes, which accentuate the sense of hierarchy of the front end.

 

The AMG GLE's stout luggage rack and sloping C-pillar are very recognizable design styles, and the through-line waistline also makes the visual effect appear slender and atmospheric; the wheels adopt a five-spoke petal shape, and a large number of red calipers and large-sized perforated brake discs further enhance the sporting atmosphere.

 

The AMG GLE Coupe has a slinky coupe shape, with a smoother sense of lines, the same through design waistline, and wheels with a double five-spoke shape, with a stronger overall texture performance.

 

The rear of the car is adjusted mainly in the tail light group part, AMG GLE is similar to the diamond-shaped tail light group design, the internal structure is very hierarchical; while AMG GLE Coupe's tail light group is more flat, after lighting than the old model more recognizable. The AMG GLE 53 version has a bilateral four-exit round exhaust pipe, while the AMG GLE 63 S version has a bilateral four-exit diamond-shaped exhaust pipe.

 

The interior adjustment is relatively small, just a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, while the run-through dual-link screen has been upgraded to the latest MBUX infotainment system, and the center console is also partly decorated with carbon fiber trim to show the identity of the high-performance models.

 

In terms of power, AMG GLE 53 is equipped with a 3.0T L6 dual-charged engine matched with 48V light-hybrid system, with a maximum power of 435 hp and peak torque of 560N-m; AMG GLE 63 S is equipped with a 4.4T V8 engine matched with 48V light-hybrid system, with a maximum power of 612 hp and peak torque of 850N-m; the 48V light-hybrid motor is also capable of an additional The 48V light-hybrid motor is also capable of outputting an additional 22 horsepower, matched with a 9AT transmission and four-wheel drive system, corresponding to a 100 km acceleration time of 5 seconds and 3.9 seconds, respectively.
