The BMW X5 was officially released with a curved dual-link screen and upgraded power

On February 8, BMW officially released its new X5 model, which is a mid-life facelift version of the current model, with adjustments in appearance, interior and power.

 

 

From the official picture, the front of the new car has changed significantly. The headlight cluster is flatter, with two folded daytime running lights integrated inside, and the style looks sharper; the shape of the grille has not changed, still the family double kidney design, and the internal straight waterfall structure is used for decoration, and the style looks more dominant.

 

 

The shape of the lower part of the surround is also relatively large changes, equipped with vertical layout of the two sides of the deflector, and the bottom of the flat rectangular air intake design, and also added a high gloss chrome strip for decoration, the overall feeling is more refined.

 

 

The side shape of the car is unchanged, with a little curved roof, shark fin and luggage rack are not absent; the irregular waistline adopts a through design, extending from the front fender to the rear of the car, making the visual effect appear slender and atmospheric; the wheel brow and side skirt are equipped with thick black trim, making the visual effect more sturdy.

 

 

The rear end is equipped with a small size spoiler on the roof, and the internal structure of the taillight cluster has also been changed to be more layered and more recognizable when lit up.

 

 

In terms of the interior, the new car also changes to BMW's latest iDrive 8 design style, providing a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and curved through dual-link screen, and the chicken-leg electronic gear knob is replaced by a paddle shifter, making the overall style more concise.

 

 

In terms of power, the new car provides xDrive40i and M60i two power versions to choose from, equipped with 3.0T L6 and 4.4T V8 engines, both matched with 48V light hybrid system, the maximum power is 280kW and 390kW, the peak torque is 520N-m and 750N-m, paired with the 8AT transmission and The xDrive four-wheel drive system is paired with an 8AT transmission and the 100km acceleration time is 5.4 seconds and 4.3 seconds respectively.

 

 

The plug-in version, upgraded to xDrive50e, is equipped with a plug-in system consisting of a 3.0T L6 engine and an electric motor, with a combined maximum power of 360kW and peak torque of 700N-m, also paired with an 8AT transmission and xDrive 4WD system; the battery pack capacity is increased to 25.7kWh, and the WLTP range can reach 64km.
