As the first sedan of VOYAH brand, the arrival of VOYAH Chasing Light has attracted the attention of many consumers, but like many new power models, the price of VOYAH Chasing Light is not low, with a starting pre-sale price of 322,900 yuan, which has also attracted a lot of questions. Even its top model, the VOYAH Chasing Light 2023 730km long-range flagship version, has a pre-sale price of 432,900 yuan, which is really bold for a new car. Currently, many people are wondering whether the VOYAH Chasing Light is a strength or a drift?

From the positioning point of view, VOYAH Chasing Light, like NIO ET7 and IM L7, is a mid-sized car, which is considered a mid-to-high-end model among Chinese car brand models. The car is based on ESSA+SOA intelligent electric bionic electrical architecture, of which SOA electrical and electronic architecture is independently developed by VOYAH, which can be compared to the advanced intelligent neural network of the vehicle.

In terms of styling design, VOYAH Chasing Light inherits the core design concept of VOYAH i-Land concept car, and the overall shape is more elegant than VOYAH FREE and VOYAH Dreamer. In the front part, the front grille of Arturo Chasing Light and the headlights on both sides form an upper and lower penetration design, which enhances the visual effect of the front face, and the logo of the car is also very eye-catching and supports lighting, which is highly recognizable at night.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of VOYAH Chasing Light is 5088x1970x1505mm, with a wheelbase of 3000mm, which is a regular level in the same class and similar to that of NIO ET7 and ZEEKR 001. In details, the VOYAH Chasing Light adopts a minimalist design concept, with a smooth body, sliding back shape, with hidden door handles and low wind resistance wheels, presenting a nice coupe style.

Inside the car, VOYAH Chasing Light is reflected by a large joint screen with 3 LCD screens and a function control screen in front of the handlebar, both of which create a strong technological atmosphere. In terms of the functions of the car, VOYAH is equipped with four tone area voice recognition control, Tencent video, QQ music, Beeping, as well as gesture control and AR-HUD head-up display.

In terms of interior materials and workmanship, VOYAH Chasing Light is also at the mainstream level of its class. Most of the areas are made of microfiber and ecological suede, which are quite good in terms of touch and feel. As a mid-size car, is there enough interior space?

In terms of seating, the Arata chasing light is a common 2+3 five-seater layout, and the seats are wrapped in faux leather. The overall wrapping of the seats is not bad, and the padding is thicker, so it is more comfortable to touch and sit. The front seats can be adjusted in 12 directions and the rear backrest can be adjusted from 27° to 35° with legrest.

The trunk area is not considered a core strength, but the regular volume of 463L is enough to meet the daily loading needs, and the front trunk is also designed to store more things. In terms of trunk features and configurations, it has a power rear tailgate, inductive rear tailgate, and power rear tailgate position memory, but its second row seats are not supported to be lowered.

VOYAH Power: Extended range

Regarding the powertrain of the Arato Chasing Light, it is equipped with two electric motors, front and rear, like most pure trams in this class. The front motor has a maximum power of 160kW and a maximum torque of 310N-m, while the rear motor has a maximum power of 215kW and a maximum torque of 420N-m. The total output power of the whole powertrain is 375kW and the total output torque is 730N-m. With these two motors, the 0-100km/h time of VOYAH Chasing Light is 4.2 seconds. 100km/h time is 4.2 seconds. In terms of data, it seems to be a little slower than its class, but in fact, it is quite good to have such performance.

The battery capacity is 108.73kWh, while most of the similarly priced models in the same class have a capacity of 80 to 90kWh, with very few exceeding 100kWh. The most direct benefit of the large battery capacity is that the range is extended. The pure electric range of VOYAH Chasing Light CLTC reaches 730km, which is a rare existence among 4WD pure trams. It is a pity that VOYAH does not have a more practical external discharge function, which is also related to its positioning.

It is worth mentioning that the chassis of VOYAH Chasing Light adopts the combination of front double wishbone + rear five-link independent suspension. It is also equipped with air suspension, and the chassis can also be adaptively adjusted in terms of softness, stiffness and height. During the vehicle travel, the chassis can judge the owner's driving intention based on the information of longitudinal acceleration and vehicle steering angle, and actively adjust the damper damping force. In addition, the four-wheel drive system of VOYAH Chasing Light can achieve 0-100% front and rear torque distribution, so its extrication performance is also quite good.
