LI L7 is officially launched. Trade a chair for a bed that takes you to see the world

L7 exterior: underneath, this is an LI L8

On February 8, the LI L7 was officially launched, positioned as a family intelligent flagship five-seat SUV, with a total of three model configurations and a price range of 319,800-379,800 yuan. The Air version is priced at 319,800 yuan; the Pro version is priced at 339,800 yuan and the Max version is priced at 379,800 yuan.

At the launch of the LI L7, the LI L8 Air model was also launched at the same time, with the new model priced at 339,800 yuan, while the previously launched L8 Pro and L8 Max models were priced at 359,800 yuan and 399,800 yuan respectively. In terms of delivery time, the Air version will be delivered in early April.

On February 9, show cars and test cars will arrive at LI retail centers nationwide. As for the delivery schedule, the L7 Pro and Max models will be delivered on March 1; the Air version will be delivered on April 1.

L7 EXTREIOR

L7 exterior: underneath, this is an LI L8

In terms of exterior color, the LI L7 comes standard with four standard colors: white, silver, gray and black metallic paint, and the optional green pearl paint, blue cool paint and dawn red multi-layer paint cost 10,000 yuan. The LI L8 has the same closed front face as the LI L9, the same active grille at the bottom, the same front-facing surround-view camera and the same star-ring daytime running lights.

In terms of exterior styling, the LI L7 adopts the latest family design language of the LI family and maintains a highly consistent exterior design with the LI L8/L9. The daytime running lights are designed with no break point, and the integrated headlights are located in the lower part of the front end, making the overall look very simple.

On the side of the car, the whole side shape of LI L7 is relatively lower, and it starts to slip down from the B pillar. In terms of details, the side impact zone of LI L7 is recessed. The entire side of the L8 has the same lines as the L9, including the raised crash beam on the lower side.

L7 INTERIOR

As a mid-size SUV, space is perfectly adequate

In terms of body dimensions, the L8 is 5080*1995*1800mm in length, width and height, with a wheelbase of 3005mm, so the L8 wheelbase is 100mm shorter than the L9's 3105mm.

The large five-seat layout directly gives the L7 1,160mm of longitudinal space in the rear, and in the LI situation, where only four people are seated, the center rear seat can instantly become a large luxury armrest, dividing a three-person sofa into two separate VIP seats.

As for the rear, the height of the rear window is relatively narrower because the L7 side shape slides down more obviously, so the original rear ADAS camera on the inside of the L9 and L8 windows is placed outside in the middle of the two brake lights above.

At the rear, LI L8 adopts LI's latest family design language, with the popular through-tail lamp design. The biggest difference from the L9 is that the license plate holder of the L8 is moved down to the rear bumper, while the license plate holder of the L9 is attached to the tailgate.

L7 interior: rich configuration and powerful

In terms of the interior, L7 also continues the family-style design concept with four screens, namely HUD, safe driving interaction screen, central control screen and passenger entertainment screen. In terms of interior design, L8 and L9 adopt the same design language, including the large screen shape, large screen size, steering wheel shape and wireless charging position are the same as L9, and the overall interior design is functional.

In terms of multimedia entertainment, the LI L7 also has two versions, "LI Smart Space SS Pro" and "LI Smart Space SS Max", which is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but in reality it is the difference between having a rear cabin entertainment screen or not.

The L7 Max with rear cabin entertainment screen has 21 speakers with a total power of 1920 watts, and the system claims to have "five-screen 3D spatial delivery" thanks to the addition of 3D ToF sensors, although I still wish the L7 could include a remote control.

 L8 AIR

Power: Will L7 be better than L8 or L9?

Powering the LI L7 is a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender. The total power of the system is 330kW and the total torque is 620N-m. The zero-hundred acceleration time is 5.3s. In terms of range, the new car is equipped with a 42.8kWh battery pack, and the CLTC has a pure electric range of 210km. The CLTC has a combined range of 1,315km. Torque 620Nm, 0-100km/h official acceleration time is 5.5s, CLTC pure electric range is 210km.

Open the hood, inside is the same 1.5T four-cylinder engine; remove the battery, the nameplate is written 42.8kWh; lift the car to see the chassis, the same front double wishbone + rear five-link, even the air suspension height adjustment range is 80mm.

However, this is not a bad thing. Because of the same powertrain, the L7 has a maximum power of 330kW (443 hp) and torque of 620Nm, and the official zero hundred time is even 0.2 seconds faster than the L8, coming in at 5.3 seconds, the same as the L9.

The 42.8kWh battery has an actual usable capacity of 37.7kWh and also offers a pure electric range of 175km (WLTC), and if you include the 65L fuel tank, the WLTC combined range is 1100km - the same figure as the LI L8.

Thanks to the air suspension with an adjustment range of 80mm, the LI L7 can lower the rear suspension by 50mm in loading mode, making it easier to carry luggage; with convenient loading and unloading turned on, the body height will be lowered by 40mm, while the suspension height will also be adaptively adjusted according to the speed, reducing energy consumption and improving stability.

LIly, the air springs can withstand extreme impacts of up to 10 tons and are backed by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.

LI L7 driving experience is good

In addition, LI L7 is also equipped with CDC continuously variable damping damper, which has three special road modes: off-road trapping, wet road, and steep hill descent. Behind it, there is also a fully self-developed XCU central domain controller, which not only controls the suspension system in real time, but also the range extender system, thermal management system, air conditioning and seats, all under its control.

LI L7 Pro has one 8MP front view camera, nine 2MP surround view cameras, one forward-facing millimeter wave radar and 12 ultrasonic sensors, and is equipped with Horizon Journey 5 chip with 128TOPS of chip computing power.

The biggest difference of the LI L7 Max is that there is an additional 128 lines of LIDAR on the top of the head, the number of 8MP cameras has been increased to 6, and there are 5 2MP cameras, 1 forward-facing millimeter wave radar and 12 ultrasonic sensors, and the processor used is 2 Nvidia Orin-X with a total computing power of 508TOPS.

Along with the launch of the Air model, LI will also cooperate with two domestic power battery companies, Sunwoda and HIVE , both of which have established proprietary production lines for LI to produce LI's battery packs.
