The performance of joint venture brands was also relatively stable, with Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen and Mazda achieving slight year-over-year growth, although Nissan, Mitsubishi and Buick remained on a downward trend. In terms of domestic car brands, Chuanqi Auto defended its title, Changan Auto, Ideal Auto, NIO Auto, Haval Auto and BYD Auto also made the top 10, while Geely Auto, Chery Auto and Hongqi Auto did not perform as well as expected. First of all, let's understand the performance of luxury car brands' retention rate in February 2023. The performance of the three major BBA brands is not very satisfactory, only BMW cars achieved a ringgit growth, but its retention rate is also less than 70%, Mercedes-Benz cars and Audi cars have seen a ringgit decline, but the ranking remains unchanged. The well-known brands Lexus, Tesla and Volvo Cars also did not perform as well in February, with a decline compared to January. Lincoln, Jaguar, Infiniti and Land Rover did quite well, with Lincoln's retention rate approaching 60 percent and Land Rover moving up to fifth place, taking the place of Audi.

Toyota defended its title and increased its value by 2%, Honda performed smoothly and reached 68% in February, while Volkswagen ranked seventh and increased its value slightly. Nissan, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Buick, all joint venture brands, performed a bit worse in February, with Nissan falling to eighth place and also being overtaken by Volkswagen.

Finally, the value retention performance of domestic car brands in February 2023, the top five on the list remained unchanged, although Transco and Wuling all saw a decline in the chain, while Changan and Ideal both fell below 60%. NIO, Haval, MGCC, ROEWE and BYD also made the top 10 list. Haval performed well, with a retention rate of 59%, ROEWE remained unchanged and BYD had a small increase. Geely, Chery and Red Flag did not perform very well, and their retention rates were not in the top ten.
