February 2023 new energy vehicle sales ranking: BYD defends its title again, ideal, NIO breaks 10,000 units

Introduction: Recently, according to the production and sales reports released by the major car companies, the ranking of new energy vehicle sales in February 2023 (partly) was released. BYD Auto topped the list, with sales exceeding 190,000 units in February, BAEAN broke the 30,000 mark, new power brands LI Auto, NIO and NETA broke the 10,000 mark, and Xpeng  Auto, ZEEKR, Changan Changan DEEPAL, smart and Skyworth are also on the list. 2023 February new energy vehicle sales ranking: BYD again defends its title, Ideal and NIO break 10,000!

Specifically, there is no doubt that BYD Auto once again took the top spot, and BYD's monthly performance is relatively outstanding, February sales exceeded 190,000 units, reaching 193,655 units, a 119% jump over the same period last year (88,283 units), of which the performance of pure electric models and plug-in hybrids is relatively close, with February sales of 90,639 units and 101,025 units, respectively. 1-2 Cumulative sales of BYD vehicles in January-February have reached 345,000 units, an increase of more than 90% year-on-year. The new power brands are doing quite well, with LI, NIO and NETA in third to fifth place, and all of them sold more than 10,000 units in February. LI ranked third, with sales of 16,620 units in February, breaking the 15,000-unit mark in a row, with its main model, the LI L9, performing well. NETA Motors ranked fourth, with sales of 12,157 units in February, up 98.3 percent from the same month last year, and NETA Motors ranked fifth, with sales of 10,073 units in February, up 41.53 percent from the same month last year.

Finally, the new energy brands on the list include Xpeng , ZEEKR, Changan Changan DEEPAL, IM and Skyworth. Xpeng  performed well, with sales exceeding 6,000 units in February, an increase of about 15% over January. The sales of smart in February sold 3,616 new cars, an increase of about 14% from the previous month, and the sales of Genworth Auto in February were 1,476.
