Official announcement AION Y PLUS will be launched on September 27th body lengthening
A few days ago, GAC AION officially announced that its AION Y PLUS will be launched on September 27. The new car can be seen as a facelift of the AION Y, with an increase in size and an adjustment of the shape details.
Combined with the previously exposed declaration map, the new car's front face follows the family's closed grille design, and the style is relatively simple; the two sides of the headlight cluster are exaggerated, using a folded design, and the internal also smoked black treatment, integrated with a bit of array of daytime running lights.
The lower part of the surround adopts a trapezoidal air inlet design, with a straight waterfall structure inside for decoration, effectively increasing the sense of hierarchy of the front end; the front lip is also decorated with a gray through-trim panel, effectively stretching the horizontal visual width of the front.
The side shape is basically unchanged, the roof line is relatively straight, and the C-pillar part is decorated with horizontal trim, creating a similar suspension roof shape, the style is more fashionable; the door handles are pop-up designs, which can play a role in reducing wind resistance. The wheel header and side skirts are thicker, effectively increasing the sense of power performance.
In the rear, the roof is equipped with a small size spoiler, and the smoked taillight cluster adopts a running design, which effectively stretches the horizontal visual width of the rear; the size of the inverted trapezoidal license plate frame is relatively large and adopts a concave design, which embellishes the sense of hierarchy of the rear; the lower part of the surround is decorated with thick black trim, and equipped with chrome strip, which has a better performance in terms of texture.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle's length, width and height are 4535/1870/1650mm, with a wheelbase of 2750mm; the length, width, and height of the current AION Y are 4410/1870/1645mm, with the same wheelbase of 2750mm, comparing the new vehicle's body length has increased by 125mm.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 150kW, and the battery capacity has not been announced yet; as a reference, the whole series of the current AION Y is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 135kW.
