On May 26, SAIC Rongwei brought us an analysis of the hybrid technology of the third-generation Rongwei eRX5 through an online live broadcast, allowing us to see SAIC Rongwei's leading self-research capability among independent brands. As a hybrid model, the new third-generation RX5 will be powered by the GS61 1.5T supercharged direct-injection engine + Super Electric Drive EDU G2 Plus, which has a combined maximum output of 432 hp and 570 Nm of peak torque, comparable to a 3.0T engine. The 0-100km/h acceleration can be completed in 6.9 seconds. In terms of fuel economy, the new third-generation Rongwei eRX5 has a combined NEDC range of more than 1,050 km with the help of safe and reliable 0-combustion technology and an intelligent hybrid system. Specifically, the new Rongwei eRX5 is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 188 hp and a maximum torque of 300 Nm, although in the same class and price range of 1.5T pure fuel cars, such data performance is already far ahead.
