On July 31, NIO officially announced that its NIO ET5 is undergoing pre-production preparations, which means that mass production of the new vehicle will soon begin; some sources say that the new vehicle will start delivery in September, but no specific date has been officially confirmed.

 

The NIO ET5 was released at the end of December last year and is available in two versions with 75kWh battery packs as well as 100kWh packs, with a pre-subsidy price of $328,000 and $386,000 respectively, while the battery leasing program is priced at $258,000 with a monthly rental fee of $980/$1,480 respectively.

 

The closed grille is common for pure electric vehicles, and the style is relatively simple. The headlights on both sides have a split shape, and the daytime running lights are pulsating.

The lower part of the surround is designed with trapezoidal air intakes, decorated with a horizontal structure inside, effectively increasing the sense of hierarchy of the front end; the front lip is also equipped with a structure similar to the sports package, embellishing a certain sense of sport.

 

On the side, the roof has a bit of a sliding shape with shark fins to create a certain sense of movement; the waistline is a through design, making the visual effect appear slender and atmospheric; the door handles use a pop-up shape, which can play a role in reducing wind resistance; the wheels use a five-spoke low wind resistance design, the style looks more fashionable.

 

In the rear, the top of the trunk is designed with a slightly upturned ducktail, and the smoked taillight cluster adopts a through design, effectively stretching the horizontal visual width of the rear; the lower surround is equipped with a diffuser, further enhancing the sense of movement.

Dimensions, the new car's length, width, and height are 4790/1960/1499mm, with a wheelbase of 2888mm, positioned as a medium-sized sedan.

 

In terms of the interior, the overall layout is relatively simple, offering a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a full LCD instrument panel, a large vertical layout center screen, and a paddle-type electronic gear knob.

 

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a four-wheel drive system consisting of dual front and rear motors, of which the front motor has a maximum power of 150kW and the rear motor has a maximum power of 210kW, with a combined maximum system power of 360kW, peak torque of 700N-m and a 100km acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. In terms of range, the 75kWh battery version of the CLTC has a working range of 550km and the 100kWh battery version of the CLTC has a working range of 700km.
